About the Project

We planned the building to be located within the Heaş Lüleburgaz Facilities considering the setback distance from the road boundary and easily accessible from the facility entrance and the general directorate building. We designed the building as a guest house. In determining our general concept, we effectively adhered to the following parameters: to create a structure that is user-friendly and technologically sound, simple, effective, and modern - and compatible with the natural environment.

The setback distance required that we position the building parallel to and near the on-site road. On the road side, we planned a tennis court behind the main building. We also designed an additional building next to the tennis court with technical and service capabilities to serve both it and the tennis courts.

We positioned the entrance at the most convenient position for entry from the Headquarters Building and the main entrance side. The building consists of two sections from the entrance.

The first section features a hall, a meeting and dining room (which can be sectioned into different sizes), restrooms, a technical room, a reception area, a front desk, and a service kitchen, from which food and beverages are prepared for the open buffet in the dining room. The lobby and meeting/dining room sections were also designed to be accessed separately from the side road, for independent use. Our aim was to ensure that this area would be a comfortable place where guests' recreation, meeting, and catering needs were fully and efficiently met during their entry and accommodation at the facility. We planned the reception section in an easy-to-reach location, the main hall connecting the first and second section and also featuring the main entrance so that the guests resting in the lobby would not be bothered. This section also included restrooms that will serve the entire premises.

One accesses the upper floor from the ground floor’s main hall reaching the main hall of the first floor which has a visual connection with the entrance thanks to the gallery. The hall offers access both to the room hall and to the fitness and sauna premises. We planned locker rooms, restroom and shower spaces and also service areas at the entrance of this section. We designed fitness and sauna spaces on both sides of the hall and a spacious balcony along the side facade. We aimed to provide a natural and relaxing environment by furnishing this balcony facade with wide potted plants. We also planned two showers and a relaxation area facing the spacious balcony in the sauna area.

In the second part, we placed halls providing access to the ground and upper floor rooms and a total of ten rooms on one floor and twenty rooms on two floors (five on the right and left sides of these halls). We planned the rooms would have a net usage area of around 26.50 square meters including the bathroom. Each room is suitable for two separate single beds or one double bed. We planned the bathroom in the room closest to the main entrance floor to be suitable for the use of the physically challenged. Designed along the exterior facades of the rooms, the flower beds enhanced the horizontal effect of the building mass, and also contributed to its natural environment.

At the end of the second section, we designed an alternative staircase to ensure vertical circulation. The housekeeping and storage areas are located just across the stairs. At the end of this section, we planned an exit from the ground floor to the outer space and the gallery on the upper floor.

We conceived exits from both stairs to the penthouse. Climbing up the main staircase takes one to a hall which is connected to the roof terrace. The gallery ensured a visual link to the entrance. Climbing up the other staircase takes one to the laundry & ironing room and a small terrace. We planned a passage through both stairs to the storage area between the roofs.

We ensured the use of stone-looking porcelain material in the main building masses, wooden materials on the exterior of the rooms and the balcony console, which is accessed from the sauna-fitness sections and also white pre-cast materials in the other facade elements. The entrance canopy and the architectural element at the entrance to the meeting room on the side facade were covered with an aluminum composite material. We preferred aluminum for the entire frame system, and metal clamps for the roof cladding.

The carrier system of the structure is reinforced concrete frame. The entrance canopy, roof construction, and architectural element on the flank wall were planned as steel constructions.
