LA Mimarlık* (LASTUDIO) was established by architect Levent Akçakaya together with interior architect Alper Besen in late 2008, after Mr. Akçakaya had completed a decade of professional activities in his own company from 1998 to 2008.

Mr. Akçakaya has been running LASTUDIO alone since mid-2011 following Mr. Besen’s decision to continue his professional career abroad. Since 2008, the company has been offering the following services as part of its building design and interior design portfolio:

• architectural project and construction administration for residential and commercial buildings,
• interior design projects and project implementation supervision for offices, stores, and residences, and;
• design concept development and project implementation supervision for corporations.

Levent Akçakaya studied architecture at the Architecture Department, Faculty of Architecture, Mimar Sinan University from 1987 to 1993, following his graduation from Kabataş High School in Istanbul. He began his professional practice with Professor Ali Muslubaş's firm, As İmar. Following a year abroad, from 1996, Mr. Akçakaya continued his architecture career at companies such as Mobal, Konuralp A.Ş., and Acarlar Group-Bina İnşaat, where he worked with institutions and clients including Finansbank (Mobal), ATV Nişantaşı Facilities/Currently The Sofa Hotel (Konuralp A.Ş.), the Acarlar Group and Acarkent Villas (Bina İnşaat). He established his own company in 1998, working with such clients as Garibaldi Shops, The Swedish Consulate, Düzen Laboratories, Aksoylar Furniture and a high number of villa owners in Beykoz - Acarkent. Mr. Akçakaya is registered at the Chamber of Architects with member No. 23700 and has been the Manager and Founding Partner at LA Mimarlık (LASTUDIO) since the second half of 2008.
